<p>Aspertame as you are aware goes by a number of pseudonyms and comes in a selection of multi-colored bags found on your table at the local cafe. When it was originally formulated it was used as an ant poison. The FDA wouldn&#8217;t consider approving it for human use for years. That is until Donald Rumsfeld, former U.S. Secretary of Defense become CEO of the giant pharmaceutical company G.D. Searle. Rumsfeld managed to get this bioweapon approved by FDA even though it is a known neurotoxin and carcinogen.Upon introduction for use in human foods, one of the obvious side effects caused by Aspertame was obesity. In recent experiments one group of rats was provided with yogurt sweetened with sugar, while a second group was provided with identical yogurt sweetened with Aspertame. You can guess the results, the group fed with the sugared yogurt was thinner at the end of the trial. Why? When the body tastes a sweet, it anticipates that a carbohydrate will follow. When this doesn&#8217;t happen the body continues to nag you until you do provide it with additional food. Aspertame is the perfect additive for diet foods, providing a tremendous marketing tool. The more you eat, the more your body demands that you eat. One of the interesting things that Aspertame does in the body is to break down into formaldehyde. That&#8217;s right, the stuff your frog was preserved in for biology class. Isn&#8217;t that deadly? Darn right it is! One of the first symptoms you will notice from drinking too much diet pop is migraine headaches.</p>
<p>I&#8217;ve got diabetes, you say, I have to use sugar free foods and drinks! If you haven&#8217;t already read my article titled Carrot Juice? Yuk!, you should do so now. Meanwhile switch to Stevia and honey. The sweetener Stevia is a natural sweetener from the Stevia plant, and is as harmless as honey.</p>

If you&#8217;re worried about staying healthy at work there are a few things that should really help you feel more at ease and more productive in the workplace.</p>
<p>Wash Your Hands: One of the most basic ways to stay healthy and to help keep your workplace healthy is to wash your hands. If you wash your hands every time you use the restroom, after you sneeze or cough, before you eat, and any other time your hands feel dirty, you&#8217;ll be able to stay healthier and help your coworkers do the same. It is also a good idea to keep a bottle of hand sanitizer by your desk.</p>
<p>Avoid Coworkers Who Are Sick: It may sound really basic, but sometimes coworkers who are sick don&#8217;t extend the courtesy of avoiding others in the workplace. You should take it upon yourself to discretely avoid them without being rude.</p>
<p>Drink Water: It may surprise you, but a lot of health problems can result from simply being dehydrated. Most people don&#8217;t drink enough water. This is a big mistake. Water keeps your body regulated and free from outside contaminants far better than many drugs. It is advisable to drink at least 8 glasses of water a day. If you exercise regularly, the ounces of water per day that you should drink should be half of your body weight. It is incredible what a difference this makes in your overall health.</p>
<p>Take Breaks: Your immune system is much more vulnerable when your body is tired and overworked. Make sure that you rest enough to make things easier on your immune system. There are some excellent stretches that you can do while at the office. For instance, try a deep back stretch by putting your chest on your knees while sitting on your chair. Reach down to your feet and pull your chest as tight as you can against your legs. This will help your back to relax. Next, stand up and counteract hunching posture by extending both arms high over your head to extend your back. Breathe deeply as your lungs open up while doing this one. Finally, try a simple wall squat. Just put your back against a wall in the seated position and use your quad muscles to hold your body with your legs at a 90 degree angle for several minutes.</p>
<p>Eat Well: Fresh fruits, vegetables, whole grains are always an important part of any diet. In addition to these, be sure to include plenty of healthy protein to help you build lean muscle. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The proposed H1N1 influenza vaccine expected to be administered to millions of Americans may pose serious risks, along with subsequent lawsuits due to adverse consequences experienced.</p>
<p>Much discussion has recently surfaced about the mandated administration of H1N1 &#8220;swine flu&#8221; vaccines to millions of Americans, especially those included in so-called &#8220;high risk&#8221; groups such as children, the elderly and pregnant women. But if these groups are at risk for contagion of the relatively rare influenza strain &#8211; they may also be at risk for adverse consequences received from the vaccine itself.</p>
<p>How safe is this vaccine? What are its potential hazards?</p>
<p>In fact, one of the special groups currently being targeted for vaccination is healthy pregnant women. This group, while at risk for the &#8220;swine flu,&#8221; may be at direct risk of experiencing adverse affects attributable to the vaccine itself, including but not limited to mercury poisoning. On July 23, 2009, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration&#8217;s Vaccine and Related Biologic Products Advisory Committee (VRBPAC) confirmed that the H1N1 vaccine will contain significant amounts of mercury containing the preservative thimerosal. This mercury-laden concoction has not been proven yet to cause adverse health consequences, but concerns about fetuses being harmed have arisen. To stretch the vaccines, certain adjuvants may also be added to the concoction prior to its being administered. These compounds have yet to be specifically approved for use in the United States and some studies have shown they cause immune disorders in mice. In fact, the proposed adjuvants (AS03 and MF59) are squalene oil-based. Exposure to squalene is associated with production of auto-antibodies and auto-immune disease. Squalene adjuvant in vaccines may well have been responsible for Gulf War Syndrome among U.S. military personnel.</p>
<p>Although six deaths occurred among pregnant U.S. women believed to have the H1N1 flu between April 15 and June 16, 2009, how many deaths and adverse consequences may occur if healthy pregnant women in mass numbers are exposed to the vaccine? An epidemic of auto-immune disease or Gulf War Syndrome among otherwise healthy, pregnant women would almost certainly trigger a rash of related lawsuits, as liability may be provable in varying degrees.</p>
<p>These potential hazards may already have been lost in the politically-motivated public safety arguments which have advocated for mass immunization of relatively untested vaccine concoctions in recent months.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Man has walked this planet for thousands of years. We have always suffered from illnesses and so always tried to make ourselves better. What we think of as alternative medicine is actually much older than modern medicine.</p>
<p><strong>Where did Alternative medicine start?</strong><br />
Alternative medicine is an ancient form of medication which can trace its roots back to ancient Chinese and Indian cultures. This medication is thought to of started around 5000 years ago. Our ancient ancestors had a much better understanding of the world around them which made it possible for them to treat many different conditions.</p>
<p>All of these medicines were created from natural products and were supposed to balance the energy in a person’s body. The doctors had a good understanding of the human body and would often prescribe natural herbs which could remove obstacles which are causing the problem.</p>
<p>Traditional Chinese medicine is perhaps the most common type of alternative medicine. Ayurvedic medicine is from India and uses similar techniques and ideas. </p>
<p>Until fairly recently modern medicine simply didn’t exist. In fact throughout most of the 19th century herbal treatments were the most common types of treatment. These doctors had plenty of time to talk to patients and find out what is really going on. The doctors were much more personal, and often religious. These people all used the same treatments as our ancient ancestors.</p>
<p><strong>Second World War</strong><br />
It wasn’t until the Second World War that medicine started to change. Modern medicine began after the Second World War and was gaining momentum by the 1950’s. There had been a number of breakthroughs which suggested advanced improvements.</p>
<p>Many doctors were trying to tell us that modern medicine is the only option. Almost overnight people were starting to rubbish alternative medications. We were told that alternative medicine is an ancient technique which doesn’t work, and that we should only ever use modern medicine.</p>
<p>Over the years further improvements in treatments and capabilities has made modern medicine even better known. Hip replacement operations, transplants, and open heart surgery are all possible these days.</p>
<p><strong>The importance of Natural Medicine</strong><br />
Natural medicine still has its place in the world. It should be able to co-exist alongside modern medicine. Although we shouldn’t rely completely on alternative medicine, it is still useful. One of the best things about these alternative treatments is that they are often kinder to the body than medical treatments.</p>
<p>Almost every single medication has a side effect; however alternative medications have fewer side effects. Alternative treatments have also been used for thousands of years which means they have had a long time to be refined. Modern medicine on the other hand is relatively new.</p>
<p>It’s also worth pointing out that almost all modern medicines are developed from natural ingredients. These treatments are very closely related to alternative treatments; the only difference is that the ingredients are refined.</p>
<p>Natural alternative medications are very important for a variety of conditions. They are growing in popularity as people start to realize that conventional medicine isn’t quite what it’s cracked up to be.</p>

This is often because healthy diets are often seen as boring and tasteless. This really doesn’t have to be the case because there are some great tasting health foods. We are now going to look at the top ten health foods and how they can change your life for the better.</p>
<p><strong>1. Leafy Vegetables</strong><br />
Leafy green vegetables like spinach are very good for you. These are absolutely packed full of lovely nutrients and vitamins including iron. These aren’t a very appealing option for many people, especially children. You can make these more attractive by mixing them with various other ingredients and foods.</p>
<p><strong>2. Oranges</strong><br />
Oranges and other citrus fruits contain vitamin C. This vitamin is essential for the immune system. You should also eat Kiwi Fruits and grapefruits as these also contain plenty of vitamin C. What’s more all of these things taste fantastic!</p>

Proactive health care is where you take an interest in your health. Instead of only seeking help and advice when something is wrong, you will do everything you can to avoid these medical complaints. We all know how to live healthily, but few people actually listen to this advice.</p>

Everyone surely realizes how important exercise is. You need to do some form of exercise to improve your health. Any type of exercise will increase your metabolism and improve the body’s essential systems.</p>
<p>You don’t actually need to sign up to the gym if you don’t want to. It can be a great asset to your health if you do something as simple as committing to take 10,000 steps every day. Aerobic exercises are ideal for anyone wanting to use up excess calories and burn fat.</p>
<p>To build up muscles you should use resistance training. Do this a couple of times a week as it will improve the strength of muscles which are used to support your bones.</p>
<p>People often try to say that they don’t have enough time to exercise. However this is nonsense. You can exercise wherever you are. Even parking further away from work or getting off the bus a stop early will provide you with some exercise.</p>

Your diet is essential for your health and it’s very important that you eat a healthy balanced diet. Make sure that you eat plenty of leafy green vegetables and fruit. Buying organic vegetables will ensure that you keep toxins out of your body.</p>
<p><strong>Supplements</strong><br />
You should be able to get all of the nutrients your body needs from nature. However this is getting more and more difficult thanks to modern farming techniques, pesticides and genetic engineering. Processed foods also have very high salt content and low nutritional values.</p>
<p>It’s important that you carefully plan your diet so that you are getting all the nutrients you require. If not then you can consider using dietary supplements.</p>
<p><strong>Preventative Treatments</strong><br />
By improving the health of your body you can prevent all sorts of illnesses and diseases. Healthy people rarely suffer from colds, flu and even cancer. </p>
<p>Positive thinking is very important. Continuous negative thoughts can have a major detrimental effect on your health. Your health care is worth taking time to think about, after all your health is the most valuable thing that you have.</p>

Quite often the only thing that limits their actions is their beliefs. It’s quite often the case that we all come up with a truly fantastic idea. Instead of developing the idea further we just start thinking that it will never work.</p>
<p>Negative thinking can cause damage to your whole body which is why it’s so essential that you make sure you stop it.</p>
<p>The mind has the power to make things real. If someone is always depressed or thinks down about themselves then this is likely to cause damage to your health. Happy people rarely get ill, but depressed and unhappy people are much more at risk.</p>
<p>To stop these negative thoughts there are actually quite a few different things that you can do:</p>
<p><strong>Body Health</strong><br />
You need to realize that your state of mind and body are very closely linked. You must start improving the health of your body by taking care of it. Make sure that you eat a healthy and balanced diets full of lots of vegetables and fruit. Also take supplements and vitamins to top your body up with whatever it can be missing.<br />
If your body feels healthy then it should be much easier to feel good about yourself which will make it easier to stop these negative thoughts.</p>
<p><strong>Don’t let yourself get angry</strong><br />
Sometimes people will quite often make you angry because they do something you don’t like. This isn’t a good state of mind and can make you start to get angry about yourself. One of the best ways to deal with anger is first to do what you normally do, clench your fists or simply start feeling the angry sensation. Once you do this make a conscious decision to relax and forget what they are doing.</p>
<p>You need to accept that the person who upset you did the best that they possibly could do. Make sure you realize that it’s not your mission to punish the person. Just let whatever they did go and don’t let it bother you.</p>
<p><strong>Negative thinking</strong><br />
Quite often people will get stuck thinking about certain negative thoughts. They may find themselves thinking about these thoughts all day. The important thing to do here is learn how to break the cycle. Learn how you can stop yourself from actually thinking about these things and you will start to feel much better.</p>
<p><strong>Set Goals</strong><br />
Perhaps one of the best ways to improve your life and to limit the impact of negative thoughts on your health is to set goals for your life. These will help you to have a clear focus in your life which should make it much easier to know what you are doing. </p>
<p>By knowing what you need to do you should be able to motivate yourself. Negative thoughts really can cause a lot of damage to your health which is why it’s so important to learn how you can stop it.</p>
